Hi, I’m Jenna (She/They), Founder of Therapy Uprising and Tend Collective. My work focuses on providing specialized care for individuals, groups, relationships, and families. We are seeking to build connection and hold a safe space to address and confront the challenges and disparity within the wellness field, and bring resources to our communities.
Finding comfort in the uncomfortable: we can change old patterns that no longer serve us, communicate our needs, and cultivate social justice and joy.
Therapy Uprising
This could be the place…
Therapy Uprising provides therapy and integrative services that seek to challenge norms and build connection to ourselves, others, and the natural world around us.
As a queer therapist specializing in relationships, trauma, somatics, and nature based therapy, I provide personalized care, that connects with my adventurous soul. The adventure is not just going outside or being challenged by our bodies - it is by going deeper. Deprogramming, unearthing what we were taught to cover up, and learning what it is we truly value. It is the battle and the surrender - the willingness to not “let go,” but LET IN, and fully feel so that we can show up and be truly present.
I am always eager to collaborate in a variety of settings to support growth, healing and transformation - And to experience my own vulnerability through the process.
Tend Collective
A new space for advocacy…
Tend Collective is a place for practice.
In the coming months, we will be growing to support group, individual, and relational breathwork sessions, along with workshops, coaching services and community events - mixing mediums, artists, modalities, and collaborators, to further a message of curiosity, safe authentic expression, transparency, and rebellion.
Tend collective has a purpose of acknowledging therapeutic harm, and the issues within wellness and healing spaces that often go overlooked and avoided. These issues are widespread, and the misuse of power, privilege, and lack of accountability needs to be faced. Many victims of abuse experience this harm when seeking help, and we will create space for this conversation, and for these voices to be heard and believed.
Providing a safe space to relax, play, move, and feel.
The expansive private space in the Ivy Building provides high ceilings with natural light, a beautifully furnished seating area, as well as a play/art area filled with room to create. There will be availability for use of the space in the near future for your own projects and vision.
This is a great option for events such as photo shoots, meetings, workshops, movement, or body work. Please fill out a contact form with any questions you may have and I will be happy to connect with you.
Therapy Services
In-person and remote options
My office is located in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis inside the Ivy Building For The Arts.
Teletherapy is also available for those that can’t make it to the office, and on severe weather days. Nature based therapy is offered in surrounding areas, with locations varying each week.
